Nagaland government to develop 20 MW solar power project in Dimapur

Nagaland government is setting up a solar power project in Dimapur district of the state. The government has signed up an agreement with Halo Energie to develop the 20 MW power project. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1,200 million.

The state government has leased around 100 acres of land for 25 years via Department of Industries and Commerce.

The project envisages to generate solar power close to 28 MU per year. This green power will also be a stepping stone for the state government in fulfilling the Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) compliance.
